PECULIARITIES OF THE LANDSCAPE GENRE IN THE CHINESE INK WASH PAINTING OF THE XX-XXI CENTURIES

Abstract

The article deals with the peculiarities of the modern Chinese landscape, which is drawn with ink. The relevance of the topic is conditioned by the fact that the fundamental changes that have occurred with the painting “guohua” in the XX-XXI centuries remain little studied in the Russian art criticism. The purpose of the work is to demonstrate the development of the genre “shan shui” and to point out the key approaches to its analysis among foreign researchers. It has been ascertained how familiarity with the technique of oil painting affected the works of “guohua”. The main methods of the actualization of traditional artistic and expressive means as well as the innovative techniques of the visual language of the genre “shan shui” have been studied.
