MODE-INTONATION FEATURES OF KEMEROVO REGION SONG FOLKLORE (BY THE MATERIALS OF EXPEDITIONS INITIATED BY STUDENTS AND TEACHERS OF THE CHORAL FOLK SINGING DEPARTMENT OF KEMEROVO STATE UNIVERSITY OF CULTURE AND ARTS)
Abstract
The article is devoted to the consideration of mode organization as one of the leading factors of the melodic development of song folklore. The study presents the analysis of the mode-intonation features of the song folklore samples collected during the musical-ethnographic expeditions that were initiated by Kemerovo State University of Culture and Arts in the period from 1994 to 2018. The variety of the intra-mode structure of the tunes is shown, revealing the patterns of modal thinking, as well as the mode formation with outlined functionality, which is found in the folk songs of the later period.
