Abstract

The peer-reviewed publication introduces the reader to life in the former socialist countries of Eastern Europe and the impact of the legacy of socialism through the eyes of their citizens. The work of I. Pleskachevskaya presents people of different ages, social positions and political views, which gives it a high degree of representativeness. As a professional journalist, the author has managed to show the full range of assessments of the socialist past and the post-socialist present of Eastern European countries.
