Abstract
The peer-reviewed publication, written by the famous St. Petersburg art critic Yuri Maximilianovich Ovsyannikov, is a series of essays about the outstanding architects of St. Petersburg, who largely shaped the image of our cultural capital. The author showed the life and work of the architects in the context of the large-scale transformations of the Russian reality, which were abundant in the 18th and the first half of the 19th century, showing the continuity and interrelation of their architectural heritage.
