The concept of happiness in the sociocultural paradigm of metamodernism: the case of Alexander Krasovitsky's lyric poetry

Abstract

The article is devoted to a philosophical analysis of the concept of happiness in metamodernism, using contemporary lyric poetry as an example. The aim of the study is to identify the specific features of the interpretation of the phenomenon of happiness within this new philosophical paradigm, exemplified by the works of Alexander Krasovitsky, and to trace how poetic text reflects the transition from irony to sincerity and authenticity of experience. Within the context of metamodernism, happiness appears not as a stable state, but as a process of internal searching and emotional oscillation. Sincerity, naivety, and faith replace postmodernist irony. The lyric poetry of Alexander Krasovitsky reflects a striving for fleeting happiness through the tension between hope and doubt. Happiness becomes an act of involvement and emotional openness. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the analysis of the specific features of the representation of happiness in lyric poetry of the metamodern era, in contrast to modernist and postmodernist interpretations. The work examines characteristic metamodernist markers (oscillation, sincerity), as well as methods of poetic expression of feeling. The results of the study show that, in metamodernism, happiness is presented as a dynamic state. It does not exist as a completed achievement, but is concealed in striving, in oscillation between internal antinomies. Alexander Krasovitsky's lyric poetry becomes an expression of metamodernist philosophy, in which happiness is not a fixed goal, but a form of being and emotional choice.
