Abstract
This monograph presents the results of many years of painstaking research into the mural paintings of churches in Southwestern Crimea, including careful selection of material, archival research, expeditions, on-site surveys, and measurements of cultural monuments. This is particularly relevant, as the preservation of medieval monumental painting is at risk of extinction. This scholarly monograph is intended not only for specialists but also for a general readership.
